Christmas 2009
This Christmas I was so excited for us both to have a lot of time off to go home and see everyone. It was a busy crazy time but I am glad we got to spend a lot of time with every side of our family. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see our friends very much. It's so tough to stay in touch when we live so far away and we never get to see everyone we want to. I was super pumped to see Justin and Susan who I haven't had a chance to really visit with in years. Here are some pics from out fun times.
Oh the Weather Outside if Frightful.....
One of the things I really like about living in Maryland is the weather is so much better here. Ohio is much colder and and much wetter all year round. I always make fun of the native Marylanders about how easy they have it and how it never snows. Well it snowed! People were telling me this was the biggest blizzard in 20 years. I'm not sure if that is true, but it really did feel like it. The weather people said we had 23 inches here in Columbia. John and I were literally trapped in the house for 2 whole days. Here are some pics from the the top of the parking garage where our cars were.
Apple Festival
Also in November we went to the National Apple Festival which is in Pennsylvania. Who knew? John was on a quest for Macintosh apples and we could not fin ANY. Has anyone ever realized how hard these are to find. We did, however, get some awesome cider, old fashioned soda, apple fritter, and kettle corn. It was a pretty fun time. The absolute best part was on our way home when we stopped at BOYD"S BEAR COUNTRY! When I was little I collected Boyd's Bears and I have at least 40 of them at my mom's house. IT was four whole stories of bears. If only I could have discovered this place when I was 10.
Renaissance Festival
Back in November we had the chance to go to the Renaissance Festival with our friends Devon and Amber. I had never been to one before and it was an experience that did not disappoint. I will let the pictures speak for themselves!
Terrible Two (Not Really)
On October 17 Delainey turned 2. She is getting so big so fast. She is talking like crazy and is a pretty good 2 year old. She is such a happy kid. Here are some pics from her birthday.
Resolving to Catch up on My Blogging in the New Year
So many many things have happened since my last blog post. The biggest being that we went on a real vacation! Typically all of our extra time is spent traveling back to Ohio, but we were finally able to do something with just our friends. And, lucky me, it fell on my birthday! We took a 7 day cruise through the Western Caribbean with 4 stops including, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Belize, and the Bahamas. I did get a little sick on the boat, but it was totally manageable.
