I read this on Bethany's blog which required me to fill it out as well so here we go....

What is your husbands name?

John Michael Loop

How long have you been together?

We have been married for 1 1/2 years

How long did you date?

We dated for 11 months before we were married.

Who eats more? Me without a doubt. John sometimes eats one thing a day. I would die if I ate as little as him.

Who said I love you first?

I did. This is my claim to fame. John claims he was a really slow mover until me and his rule was you couldn't say I love you for six months.

Who is taller? I'll just leave this one blank.

Who has more speeding tickets? That would be me. However, John has a million tickets for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. Two in one month!

Who is smarter? On paper it's probably me, but John is really gifted with people and that's something you can't teach.

Who is more sensitive? John for sure. I can actually be really insensitive a lot of the time. It used to be a trait that guys I dated appreciated about me that I wouldn't get all bent out of shape about stuff, but it figures I marry the guy wishes I was more sensitive.

Who does the laundry? Me. John will tell me on a Sunday night that he has no clean underwear for tomorrow almost every week.

Who does the dishes? We both do but John does them more often.

Who sleeps on the right? John.

Who pays the bills? I do. It stresses John out to much.

Who mows the lawn? Sadly, we have no lawn, but if we did John would mow it. He likes to landscape.

Who cooks dinner? I cook more often, but John cooks on Sundays to give me a break.

Who drives when you are together? John. My mom always said that was the man's job and I have adopted that philosophy

Who is more stubborn? I am vocally more stubborn. John will tell you he is not stubborn, but he is really stuck in his ways.

Who is the first to admit they are wrong? John, since I'm never wrong.

Whose parents do you see more? Mine

Who has more siblings? John

Who wears the pants in the family? I do, but I wish John did. I am an enigma.

Who eats more sweets? John has a huge sweet tooth. He lives for ice cream.

Guilty pleasures? Cole Haan shoes and nice pens.

How did you meet? When I was a freshman in high school and John was a sophomore my friend Gina had a crush on one of his friends. So she made me call him and ask him a bunch of questions. We had no idea who the other was so John told me to come up to him the next day at school So Gina walked me up to him and made me say hi. So I walked up and said, "Hi I' Megan the girl who called you last night." Then he said "Oh right! Nice to meet you." Then I replied, "Ok now you know so I better go to class," and walked away. It was very romantic.

Who asked who out first? John did. He was my Internet stalker and instant messaged me and I didn't even know he had my screen name. Then he emailed me. He never actually called because he didn't have a phone at the time.

Who kissed who first? John did and it was very unexpected and very bad. We had only been out on one date and I wasn't even sure he actually liked me. I thought there was a strong possibility we were just hanging out as friends. A few days after our first date he invited me over his house after he got home from work. I was in the middle of talking and he laid one on me and he tasted like nasty cheap beer. I then avoided getting anywhere near him the rest of the night so he couldn't do it again. Then I told him I wasn't interested in dating someone who drank and he stopped! Apparently, my kiss is very persuasive!

Who proposed? John

Best feature? His ghetto booty.

Best personality trait? He can talk to anyone anywhere and make them feel like he actually cares about what they are saying.

Pet names? Poppy, poopy, and any variation thereof.

Where do I see us in 15 years? We will finally own a house, have some kids, and John will own his own business. Best of all, we won't be living in Maryland.

What is your favorite thing about him? He is always laughing and trying to make me laugh.

I tag Angie, Tiffany, Michelle, Heidi and anyone else who reads this blog!

I Got New Job!!!

As many of you know I haven't had the best of luck with jobs. I seem to have no problem getting them. The problem is I pick the ones that have me working 55 hours a week and don't allow me to have a life. About 2 weeks ago I got a call from a family I knew through someone at church whose nanny had recently quit. They were in a bit of a pinch and wanted to meet with me right away. I wasn't really sure if I was ready to step out of the corporate world and into the private childcare world, but it was something I had been thinking about for a while. So I went and met with them and they were so nice and they kids were super cute. So I told them I would take a few days to think about it. By Saturday I knew it was really the right things for me and on Monday I accepted the offer. Not only do I get to hang out with some great kids, but they are giving me tons of freedom on determining the kids activities and schedules. In addition, I really feel like they want me to have a great experience. It's better hour, more vacation, more flexibility, and most importantly I feel like I am actually valued as an employee. Also, they are fine with me having kids and sill being there nanny. Now we can actually consider the possibility of having children instead of being chained to my job. Tomorrow if my first day. Wish me luck!

We Finally Went to the D.C.Temple!!

After our jam packed trip to Ohio I had to go to work for a few hours. Somehow I mustered up the energy to go to the temple. Our good friend Scott was in town on business from Ohio and he wanted to go. It turns out they have sessions as late as 8:30. It was HUGE inside and I did get lost, but it was really amazing. I'm looking forward to more regular trips back. It was also really great to see Scott. We miss him and Angie and the kids so much!

Farewell Grandma Loop

On Saturday the 24 John's Grandma Loop passed away. It was expected, but very sad nonetheless. It's comforting to know she is reunited with her husband Floyd. We drove to Cincinnati on Saturday, and it took 8.5 hours. We stayed at Grandpa Hagedorn's house until Monday evening. We had a viewing in Cincinnati on Monday night where were able to view a really fun slideshow and see John's Dad and siblings way back in the day. Tuesday morning was the funeral in Columbus, which included several of Grandma Loop's favorite songs. After the funeral we drove up to my parents' house in a snowstorm. We made it over to see Emily and family for a while and then headed out bright and early on Wednesday morning. It was sad, but it was nice to see all the family, especially since we don't get to Cincinnati very often.

P.S. I am pleased to report that we were able to have White Castle and Penn Station on our trip!

Happy 29th Mom!

A few weeks ago I was able to go back to Ohio to celebrate my Mom's Birthday. My Dad came for a visit, as well, and took us all to see Wicked. It was amazing and I loved it! I can't wait to see it again! I have been listening to the soundtrack ever since. It was really fun to be able to hang out with my Mom and Dad at the same time. I'm glad even though they are divorced they can still get along.
For her birthday I had a jigsaw puzzle made from a big picture of Delainey. It even came in a tin with the picture on the front. My mom is really into puzzles and I picked a picture that was really difficult. She has already finished it and put some sort of shallack on it so it all sticks together. She's gonna get it framed.
I was also able to watch Delainey for a day. Mikaela got a snow day and was able to spend the whole day with me as well. All in all it was a really fun weekend!
