Hey guys! This is my first time mobile blogging. I am pretty fired up right now and I need some advice from frequent Etsy users.
Way way back in august I ordered a custom window treatment on Etsy for our giant from window. It cost about $300 which isn't a lot for custom roman shade, but it's a whole lot of money for me.
The finished product was promised to arrive in 6-8 weeks. Guess what? It's February and my window is still naked. My check was cashed immediately even tho I provided all the fabric and materials.
I have followed up constantly and given every excuse under the sun including being blatantly lied to and given fake fedex tracking numbers.
Some of the excuses have included her child has cancer, her legally blind mother in law put the wrong label on it, her sister died in labor, her aunt died, her husband had the flu, she had the flu, her kid had mono, it's in the mail, and many more that I have erased from my memory.
Now on the slim chance this woman is actually the unluckiest person in the world I don't want to be an awful human being here but it's been 6 months! I want my shade and for the neighbors not to see me dancing to the Wii in the window at nite! What's your advice? I'm going crazy here!

Her personal problems are not your problems. You need to report this IMMEDIATELY! Her blind MIL excuse is a joke. Girl, do something NOW before it's too late!
Oh my gosh, that's horrible! I would be so frustrated! I would first demand my money back if it's not shipped within a week, because that's a heckuva lot of dough to be lost. And if it isn't shipped within a week, I would report the seller to Etsy.
What does her other feedback look like? And if you've been in communication with her and still don't have it--I would try and get in touch with Etsy and see if they can mediate something. Good luck!!
Man that sucks! Can you complain to etsy the company? Hope you get it worked out!!!
Oh, girl!! I would report her ASAP! 6 months is ridiculous!!! I'm with Dana, while you want to be sympathetic....her problems are not yours! I would file a complaint with ETSY for sure!
I hate when this happens! Why do you run a business if you're not going to deliver? She's obviously just making all this stuff up. It would have cost her far less energy to just deliver the service! Get your money back! :-)
That is RIDICULOUS. I told you that woman was crazy when it took forever to get the other curtains and now you're waiting a ridiculous amount of time for the other ones? You need to cancel your order and get your money back. If she is having personal problems (and it's not a lie) then she shouldn't be taking orders right now. And fake tracking numbers is disgusting. Report it.

This is AWFUL!! I would ask Etsy to mediate in this mess. You could also talk to your bank mgr. and find out if this could be considered fraud, and possibly have them interevene/investigate.
My bank did that for me when a local garage ordered and charged me for a part, then put me off for 7 weeks with a slew a excuse.
So sorry you are dealing with this!

I would report her to Etsy too. BTW did she have any good reviews on Etsy, just currious. I am a new follower. I saw you on Vintage Wanabee, I love that blog too. We sound a lot a like. I too have a foodie and bit of crafting blog. I don't like projects to take long but want them fabulous. I also just got a sewing machine for Christmas. Thanks guys. I have let her know that if I don't receive it by Tuesday I will be contacting Etsy and my bank to see what my options are. I appreciate all your encouragement. I don't feel totally heartless anymore!
